Prior to Myspace and Facebook there was GeoCities. A do it yourself intro to no/low code website building. while my original website is long gone, I have recreated it here using the latest technology! My GeoCities page was web 2.0 before it existed. I posted pictures from recent nights out, shared my thoughts on popular culture, had easter eggs and hidden features. Every e-mail I sent (from my Hotmail account) had my website in the signature.
There is concern that after being out of a technology company role for over 2 years I may behind the curve with ai. That is, in part why this whole site exists. It is a demo for both prospective employers as well as myself that I continue to be able to adapt and thrive with any new technology. Be it MSN Messenger, Napster, Photoshop, iMovie, Excel, PeopleSoft, A/S 400, ERP, CRM, and now ai and what it brings to the table. In a professional role I don't just use technology for me, I shape it to the end user who wants to get as close to no touch as possible, but wants the rewards of a clean system and its data.
